Recently, I had the opportunity to perform a wedding at the Bee & Thistle Inn in Old Lyme. What a charming and unique place to have a wedding or any special occasion. This historic house was built in 1756 as a private residence and later became an inn in the 1930s. The spirit of the town upholds a commitment to preserving the arts and the work of many local artists can be seen at The Bee & Thistle.
For a wedding of just 28 people, I think the couple chose their location perfectly. They were able to have many of the guests stay on site right in the house and create a celebration that was very intimate and personal.
General Manager and Event Coordinator, Tosh Urbowicz, and her staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to both guests and wedding vendors alike. She kept the day running smoothly with grace and a smile. In the short time I was in her presence, I could tell that she's someone who's committed to ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience. When you can provide a stress-free process to someone who is planning a special occasion, that is worth it's weight in gold to me!
Here's a video from their web site to get a feel for the venue:

All my best, with no stress!
